NOW COMES THE HARD PART!

The final mailing was sent to offline classmates at the beginning of July. RSVP AND MONEY ARE DUE BY JULY 21ST! (Like, if you haven't done it yet, you're late already!) If you haven't already sent your online RSVP, please do so ASAP! There's bills to pay! Please note that your RSVP is not considered "final" until your check has been received. Please make checks payable to Park High Class of '77 and send to:

Park High '77 Reunion
828 9th Street
Hudson, WI 54016
Golf: $17.00 Dinner/Dance: $35.00 per person Picnic: Free
Those of you who sent in your RSVP and money by July 15th, you've been entered into a drawing for a GREAT door prize: a collector plate donated by the Thomas Kincaid Gallery in the Mall of America, valued at over $80.00, which will be given away Saturday night! (You must be present to win.) There will be other prizes given away throughout Saturday evening, and during the golf event, as well. And check out the raffle information below!

RAFFLE!
Queen of Hearts

Wanna Get Lucky at the Reunion?
(Uh, let me re-phrase that...)

Want a Computer for Five Bucks?

To add to the reunion fun, there is going to be a raffle, with a Pentium computer as the prize:

NexSYS Computers is providing the following system at cost to the Reunion Committee:
  • Intel Pentium 166 IBM-compatible PC
  • 16Mb EDO RAM
  • 2.1 Gb hard drive
  • 14" SVGA monitor
  • 12X CD-ROM
  • Sound card/Speakers
  • 33.6 fax/modem
  • 3-1/2" floppy
  • Video Card
  • Mini-tower Case
  • Keyboard and Mouse
  • Windows 95 pre-installed
Raffle tickets are $5 each, or 5 for $20. Offline classmates were sent 5 tickets with the July mailing. But you too can send in your $5, $10, $15, or $20, and be eligible to win! Buy as many chances as you want! Oh, and here's a hot tip: Don't buy 4 tickets!!
Word Problem:
Beavis and Butthead graduate high school just in time for the 20-year reunion. The reunion committee holds a raffle and the winner gets to score with Pamela Anderson or Fabio. Tickets cost $5, and there's an option to buy 5 for $20. If Beavis buys 5 tickets for $20, and Butthead buys 4 tickets for $20, who has the better chance to score Pamela Anderson?

Neither. They'll be watching Babe Watch and forget the real Pamela Anderson.
To order tickets, click to fill out and print the online Raffle Ticket Order Form. Snail-mail the printout, along with payment, to the Reunion Committee. If you're attending the reunion, the easiest thing to do is just send your order and payment for raffle tickets in at the same time you pay for reunion events. When you submit/print the form, a copy will be sent to the Reunion Committee, so they will be ready to mail back your tickets when your payment arrives.

Raffle tickets will also be available throughout the reunion weekend events. The drawing will be held during the picnic event on Sunday, August 10th. Martian Obviously, since this is paid participation, you do not need to be present to win, and you can enter even if you cannot attend the reunion at all (you may have to pay minor shipping costs if you can't claim your computer in person). All raffle proceeds over and above the cost of the computer will go into the class coffer. The goal of all this shameless hucksterism: Hold the 25-year reunion on Mars!

  • People have been asking whether they can come to the dance only. The answer is Yes, and the cost goes down to $20.00 per person (hall and DJ expenses, you know). Plan to arrive after 8:30 p.m. If you get there by 8:45 p.m., you'll be in time for the group picture.
  • The other events are Park-only, but envious Woodbury grads are invited to send in their Royal RSVP and join us at the dinner dance - with one understandable caveat: If the hall fills up, Indians get in before Royals! Oh - and you can't be in the group photo! If you weren't in the "then" photo, you can't be in the "now" photo. How can you be in the "now" photo if you weren't in the "then" photo?
  • We're older, we're wiser. Two words: Designated Drivers!

Miscellaneous

photos
A photographer is available the evening of August 9 to take a group photo, as well as candid shots and any special requests you may have. Relax and enjoy the evening, let someone else worry about taking those pictures.

The photographer is:

Tom Conlon
2183 Berkeley Avenue
St. Paul, MN 55105-1207

Tom has done other Park reunions in the past. He will be shooting a class photo at about 8:45 p.m. Please be prepared to gather at least 5-10 minutes prior to that. There is no purchase obligation. If you want a copy, you will be able to make arrangements during the evening, directly with Tom. Price for an 8" x 12" color print of the group photo is $15.00.

If you're interested in other shots, such as "Then and Now" shots of you and your high school buds, arrangements can be made with Tom. In addition, Tom will be doing candid shots, which you can arrange to purchase. Prices are $10.00 each for 5" x 7" color prints, or $5.00 each for 4" x 6" color prints.

Delivery will take approximately 3-4 weeks, to the address you provide. Prices already include shipping.

Reunion "Business" Card

Sue has been working up a Reunion "Business Card" to have available at the reunion events. Look for them, and use them to get friends' addresses and numbers, and to remember the event by! The picture above is a first draft. The final cut should be similar, if not the same.

Internet

Classmates you know who are not on the Internet can still become a part of our page, as can you. Send a photo, or a note! Anything you might want to share with classmates! Sean Gardner will set it up on the page and return originals to you if you provide a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Randy Danielson

Many of you may have heard there was an explosion at the Ashland Refinery in St. Paul Park. One person who was critically injured in the explosion is our classmate, Randy Danielson. Randy was severely burned in the explosion, and the burning extended to his lungs, which put him at great risk for contracting pneumonia. If you would like to find out how he's doing, e-mail the Reunion Committee for a phone number.

THANK YOU Online Classmates!

Being online and having registered your e-mail address with the Reunion Committee, you are saving the Class on postage expenses, because we were able to just e-mail you to let you know you where to find this update. The information on this page started out substantially the same as what was snail-mailed to offline classmates, but has seen constant updates, such as the travel planning page, the menu, the RSVP form, the news about Randy, and new information on event plans as they became available.

For your online viewing pleasure, many of the graphics here are different, and more colorful, than those that went out in the snail-mail version. For obvious reasons, Reunion Committee member phone numbers were removed from the online version. (If you need the number of a Reunion Committee member, please e-mail the Reunion Committee to request it.)

The big advantage to being online is that if you've been checking the page regularly, you've been getting updated information about the reunion events almost as soon as the reunion committee receives it. This page has been updated at least weekly since it was first put up, and sometimes changes every day or two! So keep checking back here, because as the reunion approaches, and new information comes in, you'll find it here first!

Once again, thanks. We hope this page has both informed and entertained you!

P.S. If your e-mail address changes, please contact the Reunion Committee so you will continue to get updates. If you go offline, please contact the Reunion Committee so we will know to contact you via snail-mail. Thanks!

THANKS Also to Supporting Businesses!

Please take the time to THANK the following businesses who kindly contributed prizes to our reunion:

    In Cottage Grove:
  • Norwest Bank
  • Cottage Grove Jewelers
  • Arby's
  • Perkins
  • Taco Bell
  • Tires Plus
  • Midas
  • Great Clips
  • Goodyear
  • Hampton Bank
    In the Mall of America:
  • Nordstrom's
  • Thomas Kincaid Galleries (our special "Early Responder" prize)
    In West St. Paul:
  • MGM Liquors
  • Tobacco Sales
    Other:
  • Minnesota Zephyr
  • NeXSYS Computers (Raffle prize, Pentium Computer, at cost)

And while you're at it, why not drop a note to the The Reunion Committee and thank them for their hard work? I declare, other schools' reunion attempts look pretty feeble compared to this one!
